World Series Of Poker News UpdateThe 5th June 2012 – Tuesday, was an important day in the 2012 World Series of Poker as there were five tournaments running parallel. The $5,000 Seven Card Stud event wound up with John Monnette winning the event. While two events went down to their final tables respectively, on the other hand the remaining two concluded their initial days. Here’s an update on the tournaments that will be completed on Wednesday.

Event #9: $1,500 No-Limit Hold’em Re-entry

This event had two starting days and anyone who went out of action on the first day could pay another buy-in on the second day and re-enter the tournament. Initially there were some disruptions as many players tried to re-enter several times, but everyone got a tournament to play and now the event is down to the final nine players.

The table is led by Ryan Olisar who is going into Wednesday with 3.715 million chips. He is far ahead of Brian Rast, the winner of 2011 double bracelet (including the $50,000 Poker Players Championship.) Brian Rast sits with 2.415 million followed by Amanda Musumeci (2.04 million) and Greg “FBT” Mueller (820,000). The tournament began with 3,404 players, who contributed to a prize pool of over $4.5 million and a first prize of $781,398.

The final table will begin at 1:00pm Vegas time.

Event #11: $1,500 Pot-Limit Omaha

The final table of the $1,500 Pot-Limit Omaha event is starting at the same time as Event #9 (that is at 1:00pm Vegas Time). The table is led by Charles Tonne fromMichiganwho is sitting with a huge number of chips and is looking forward to his first World Series of Poker bracelet. The winner of this event will be given $265,211.

3.    Damien Lhommueau – 663,000

Three rounds will be played today, at 1:00pm, 4:00pm, and 7:00pm. At the end of the night, the final four will be in place.
