High Card: The Best Among All The Poker GamesFrom its birth poker was thought to be a game played among several players but the most enjoyable moment comes when the game is dealt between seven to six people. The reason behind this is poker has a huge lot of versions; High Card is one of them.

In a standard poker the jokers does not have any role to play in a 52 card pack that is used.  The cards are positioned in the following manner from higher to lower. It is set in the following sequence A,K,Q,J,10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2.

Poker is a game meant to bring in more money in ones coffers. However, real money is never put or displayed on the tables and is converted into chips. The chips can have numbers imprinted on them or consist of various colors. The money invested on the bet cannot be increased or decreased during the play. After the game is over the player hands over the chips and get back the currency notes.

The High Card should always be played by placing an “ante” bet between three, one or two circles where the players believe that highest card lies in any one of the circles where the game is being played. At first a person called the dealer who distributes three cards placing them face down in between the circles and then comes the role of the dice which is rolled on the table to establish that who will be the picker. By the use of the word picker it is meant that which house will bet first, there after the dealer flips up the cards in between the two groups by placing of lower value among the non house picker and the card that he flips over is called the bust card.

The betting starts by the player with whom the bust card is not lying. The dealer either folds the card and this is called the burning of the card and reveals the action card. If the action card turns up to a heart or a diamond the dealer gets to switch the house and if it is a club or a spade the house will remain the same. If the action card is found to be a joker then all the players who had played the bet on the bust card wins in the sequence 2-1 on the ante bets and rises.

But in case the action card is not a joker then the player who had picked up the High Card wins the game excluding the house 1-1 on the ante and the raiser. If the house gets the chance to pick the High Card then both the player and the ante losses the game.

After the end the dealer goes on to check the four cards that are lying face up on the table in the sequence of 1, 2, 3 and the action card to find out who has won the High Card game and distributes the poker bonus payouts among the players.
